Wonderful Wonderful Chunky Book Heaven

Here are some of the chunky books I have aquired and participated in over the years and if you look on the top shelf in my craft room you will see part of my collection. If anyone wants to join a chunky book group or make and trade pages with me...just let me know.

My scrapbook room...

After working so hard to finish my class, I decided to revamp my craft room. I have a quilting frame which was in one of the bedrooms. I want to start quilting again in my craft room and asked my wonderful husband to bring it down to my craft room... he did. God love him. I enjoy going back and forth from sewing to papercrafting. I have a page a month chunky book to make with my girlfriend Diane that I need to get started on. I am in the middle of a scrapbook calender for my daughter for christmas and I am in the middle of a quilt. This along with working part time and going to school.... if I didn't have my crafts, however, I would go insane.My beautiful daughter stopped over tonight to work on her drawing. She has a little studio in the basement where she sets up her scenes for her drawing class. She would rather work here than at her condo because her cat Lillie likes to rearange things. (we keep Gracie, our little kitty, out of the basement.) Renee is so busy, she is a DAAP student at the University of Cincinnati working toward a degree in Graphic Design. The program is excellent but pretty intense. Renee has little time for much else in her life, but does make time for her guy, Brendan....who is also a Graphic Design student at another college.Tomorrow I will be taking pictures of my new craft room and posting them.Night!Susan

management and leadership

Ahhhh I just completed my management and leadership course... it was really informative but so much work. I wrote 5 papers using apa formatting which I had no previous experience. I am drained and happy it's over now. My next course starts on 12/4, Communication in Business. I have a feeling I will be writing so much more in this class. I am not the best writer, I have trouble with my tenses and whether I should be using 1st person or second. I am 30 years out of practice. I hope I did well enough this course to keep up my 4.0, since I got an A in my first class. I think I may be reaching for the stars but we will see. I'll let you know.

I am a 49 year old, white American, grew up Catholic in Cincinnati. I have never been more proud of my Country than I am today. I was proud to attend the Obama rally Sunday at Nippert Stadium with my daughter (20) who attends the Unverisity but also my 70/80 year old parents who proudly held up their Obama signs because they knew this man would make our country better. We all read deeply into the issues at hand and went into the voting booth yesterday ready to cast a vote that would change our nation for the better. We did it, America did it and my heart is filled with so much pride for our country and the example we set for the world. Thank you young Americans for your fearless efforts and everyone who stood in long lines and voted... this is a great country and you did good!
