Here I go......

Here I go with my addictive personality again.  I found the wonderful, creative and friendly world of Card Making Challenges.  Oh My Gosh and there are so many out there.  I found my first few through My Daily Reads that I go to each day.  I did my first challenge and that was it..I was hooked.  What do I love about these...hum....  I love challenging myself to see if I can actually accomplish the challenge, I love love love looking at everyone else's work.  I love seeing the winners and what I can aspire to...

My question is to those who do many of these...how do you pick and chose which ones you are going to undertake?  I want to do everyone I come across but I don't have that much time.....   Please help me through card making challenge therapy :)

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge FTTC77 and Simon Says Challenge, DOTS!

I cut this card design out using my Big Kick Sizzix and the Scallop Card die.  The beautiful pin is from Memory Boutique.  The lovely ribbon is from American Craft Elements.  The flower is a combination of Close To My Heart and Prima with a pretty gemstone in the center.  The decorative paper is from my stash as is the Live In Beauty Always Tag.  Thank so much to

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge FTTC77  and   Emily Keaton for hosting this challenge!

This is also my entry for The Simon Says Stamps Challenge .....all going Dotty...using polka dots.  Dots, dots and more dots.  Couldn't use too many for on this card or it would look too busy.  Thanks to Simon Says for sponsoring this challenge!

Delightful Sketches - It's So Simple

This was a really fun challenge for me as I was able to use my letterpressed card stock.  I have a little problem with not keeping the packaging for my clear stamps, so I am not certain who made the stamp I used across the top of my card, I believe I bought these at Michaels.  The best of luck stamp is a Unity Stamp from the Bevy of Butterflies set.  I used chocolate brown, dark sage green and white card stock from my stash.  Okay, now on to the letterpress effect.  I took a Anna Griffin metal stencil and inked it up with sage Stampin Up Ink then took white card stock and placed it over the stencil. I put this through my sizzix.  What a wonderful effect that looks like letterpress.  Give it a try...it's very cool.  Thank you Delightful Sketches for hosting this challenge - It's so Simple

Green is the color of the day :)

Curtain Call Color Challenge ACT 40

Here is my entry for the Curtain Call Color Challenge ACT 40.  When I first looked at the colors, I was fine until I started thinking about the blue and where to fit it in...the trick is, pull the colors from your stash and don't think about it too much...keep it simple.
My card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.  I used Bazille Red card stock.  The stamps were from the Unity Stamp Set , Bevy of Butterflies.  I used Basic Black Stampin up Ink.  For the center of my flowers, I used Stickles glitter glue.
The toughest part for me always is knowing when to stop and just be okay with sweet and simple.  I am learning that simple is my design style and I have to be just fine with it.  I was in this case.
